We are excited to be having an  “Intro to Basketry” workshop.
This is an introduction into some of the techniques in basket making using materials you can collect from the garden.  It will be held at:

         St Jude’s Anglican hall

         58 Murray Street, Tumbarumba

         Saturday 10th May 2025

         10am until 2pm

You will have the opportunity to make with dried iris leaves you bring:
– a basket with woven dried iris leaves.
– cordage using dried iris leaves.
If you cannot collect your own dried iris leaves from a garden somewhere you can still learn the process and make your own tension tray out of selected branches collected on the day.

If you’d like to attend please email the garden club  tumbarumbagardenclub@gmail.com   to reserve your place and so we can give you further information about what you need to bring on the day.

This workshop is free for garden club members.  Anyone is welcome to attend. T hey will just need to fill in a form & pay $20 on the day if not already a member.
They can then attend future free workshops throughout the next financial year.
