The Tumbarumba Garden Club is dedicated to fostering a sense of community, promoting sustainable gardening practices, and enhancing local food security through our Harvest Haven Community Garden project. Our inclusive and collaborative initiatives aim to educate, engage, and empower residents of all ages and backgrounds in Tumbarumba. Who We Are
The Harvest Haven Community Garden is a new initiative, in collaboration with St Jude’s Anglican Church Tumbarumba and the Tumbarumba & District Garden Club Inc, aims to create a space that fosters sustainable living, community connection, and education about gardening. The garden seeks to promote food security, environmental stewardship, and well-being among Tumbarumba residents. The gardens will be located on the grounds of the St Jude’s Anglican Church 58 Murray St Tumbarumba NSW 2653.
Major Programs/Activities:
Garden Plots: Harvest Haven offers garden plots to the whole community, allowing them to cultivate their own produce and experience the joy of gardening.
Educational Workshops: The garden hosts workshops on organic gardening practices, composting, soil health, and related topics to empower community members with gardening knowledge.
Community Events: Regular events like garden parties, potluck dinners, and harvest festivals provide opportunities for community members to gather, share experiences, and celebrate their gardening achievements.
